Fiona Williams Between the sky and the ground II

Opening: Opening Wednesday 27 April, 6-8pm Dates: 27 April – 14 May 2016

‘Between the sky and the ground II’ is an exhibition conceived to operate like a film, encapsulating everything that happens between the sky and the ground. The work is made up of component images that are placed together in response to the available light in Bus’ Gallery 4. Each image loosely refers to another kind of image, which is repeated, complicated, or continued.

Fiona Williams is a Melbourne-based visual artist. Fiona has participated in residency programs at RM in Auckland and at The Banff Centre in Banff, Canada. Recent solo exhibitions include Between the sky and the ground, Northern Centre for Contemporary Art, Darwin, 2014; Image/Air, Window, Auckland, New Zealand, 2013; Fields and snow, Firstdraft Gallery, Sydney, 2013 & Bus Projects, Melbourne, 2012. Group exhibitions include vis-à-vis, A Staple Space, Melbourne 2014; hesitation, Bus Projects, Melbourne, 2014; The Walking Encyclopedia, Air Space Gallery, Stroke-on-Trent, UK, 2014.
